Transformative Path-Walking with Chris Townley
Like you, I am more than what I do. In a poem titled, Backyard Identity, I write of learning to become who I was created to be. Born at the base of the Bridger Mountains, we have lived in Montana and downtown Phoenix. We now reside in the Upper Rio Grande Watershed. Over the years I have served as a pastor and church planter, high school basketball coach, completed a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary, and currently write at the intersections of justice, nature, and spirituality. I’m starting to call this exploration in writing ecotheonarratology.
Maybe someday we can walk a path together.
We need each other.
That’s right, we need each other and the occasional reminder we are not alone. My writing, a wide array of shenanigans and whiplash, might be about roadkill or it might be about untangling ourselves from the systemic hooks of White Supremacy or maybe my favorite river (which I will never name), but it will always serve to open our hearts to the reminder that we are not alone. Thanks for reading and supporting this writing endeavor, and as always: Invite a friend to read along, or make a friend as you read along.
